Heya all
Anyone else having issues with their drivers door handle
More so in the cold
Weird how passengers side doesn’t do it just drivers
Have seen other posts on here about it
Let’s all try and get together via posts and see if vw will sort it out
It’s clearly an issue
I didn’t have it on my t5 so why should I on a t6.1 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Cheers all

there is a recall on the T6.1 for sticking doors when cold.

might be worth calling VW and booking in for the fix.

or call out VW Assist. (36month cover from new)

Is the recall for the Bowden flex cables for both doors
Ironically mine was fine before this as this has already been carried out
So is there another recall ?

But thanks I will contact vw and ask the question

Got to the van this morning and could not open drivers door !! I see this has been covered before but very annoying on a freezing morning. I can’t wait for the dealer fix under warranty - is it a DIY fix? I’ve had the door cards off for speakers so familiar with the removal. Does anyone know if a part is required ?

Was it frozen stuck?

Ie the rubber seal to the van?

Or a mechanical problem.

....

This is the best stuff ever for playing trim and tyres.

But also works on for trims.

And still stop them from freezing stuck to the van.

Frozen- def a broken Bowden cable. Lowered the window via key, opened door from inside. I've now done the research and I’m going to replace the cable myself as I have been currently waiting over 3 months for other warranty work!!
