Driver door intermittent latching

Having an issue with the driver door not latching . Seems to bounce back . Occasionally it will latch . It seems like the the little end piece on the door latch won’t sit back flush to the door (photo shows it sitting flush) . Any ideas? Cheers

Looks like someone had been at it ( with the wrong size tool ) so most probably out of alignment.

Ah ok, can I ask was that through VW or a local garage ?
I’m in Nottingham and looking at places that won’t rip me off.. or I have a go at it myself but then finding the exact product I need to buy is also a minefield

If you take out VIP membership, you can access technical info, including part numbers.
