Good evening, I detected a temperature of 720-730 degrees celsius via the Car Scanner app during regeneration.... I had never noticed such a high temperature, usually it did not reach 670 degrees... is something not right?.....

That does sound a bit high. Mine is usually around 500 to 600C which I thought was stupidly high.
Any warning lights, faults?
How old/mileage/engine?

What sensor exactly you were monitoring? Any other sensor readings & related data - e.g. air mass flow,?
What were the driving conditions - e.g. engine RPM, gear, speed, uphill/downhill?
What does the sensor read on cold engine - thus any offset to ambient temperature?
