Does an OEM Transporter radio/CD. player require a security code to install in a new vehicle

I have upgraded the head unit and speakers in my Transporter and stuck the OEM kit on eBay. I have been messaged by a potential buyer asking if I have the security code. Which I don't.

Does the original head unit (VW Volkswagen 1K8035150L Radio CD Player), require a security code to activate it in a new vehicle? If so where do I find it?

It will need component protection removing or unlocking. There are people who can do it online @Pauly knows someone

What year van did it come out of and what headunit is it, got a picture or link to the eBay ad ?

I have just canceled the eBay ad (as I wasn't sure how long this would take to sort out). I've attached a couple of photos of the head unit. It came out of my 2019 LWB T6 Kombi van.
