Diesel heater not starting.

Went to start the diesel heater in my van today to give the heater its monthly run , noticed after 5 minutes nothing was happening.
Checked controller and on start up all appeared ok until heater tried to run then controller shut down and went blank.
Had a bit of a look around and with a multimeter found only 6 volts intermittently at heater on supply plug.
Found the fuse from leisure battery supply to heater was slightly loose in holder, probably from vibration.
Reseated fuse and secured it firmly and heater now working ok.
Due to controller going blank on shutdown no fault codes would appear to help with fault finding.
Turned out a simple fix to a frustrating problem. This may help someone someday.
We are off on a trip for a week tomorrow and weather is cooling off now so wanted heater to be working .

I sold a heater kit to a guy and he had a garage fit it and it didn't work, they had hacked the wiring about and made a right mess so I had him return it to me to sort it out - I soon discovered the fault - they had managed to insert the fuse into the holder in such a way that it missed the contacts in the fuse holder totally! (Extremely difficult thing to do)
I advised him to steer well clear of that garage in future.

I have a Chinese diesel heater from Vevor. Since installation 10 days ago the display has either been on but not backlit or on and backlit. This afternoon I had a look at the screen after watching some videos showing more advanced functions. I found the screen blank. I assume it is powered by the leisure battery and not a small button battery? It's blanks and doesn't turn on when I click the 'on' button. I even tried holding it for 5 seconds to see if it's a failsafe function. Investigation showed no light on the fuse board when the fuse was removed. Checked new fuse. Nope. Then followed the live and found a connector detached from the cable.

It's working again!
