Joe, when negotiating, never be apologetic when trying to get money knocked off, or go with a question like "I don't suppose you'll..." It puts you on the back foot straight away.

Yes i thought that too, just shows how different people are. nobody can insult me and i would negotiate aggressivly for anything !
