Looking for advice on dent removal please .
Cutting grass yesterday & mower picked up a rock & hurled it into side of van .
About a 1cm diameter dent , paint is through to metal ( like a rock scrape rather than crack ) .
Local dent guys I tried said no can do as paint broken .
I could live with the paint damage but not sure I can bear the dent ......
Any suggestions???

Put a smear of Vaseline on the scrape until you can get it repaired properly to avoid rust getting hold

I've covered the metal with touch up paint so should be ok .
Just want the dent out without painting the whole panel

If you can get a dent man to do it from the inside with rods you should be ok , but the problem you’ve got is most use glue and pullers so theres a risk of them pulling more paint off with it being already damaged.

Thanks,
That's what dent guy said - worried he'd pull paint .
I'll try another company and ask re rods , access from inside should be no bother.

I had a small dent in a similar place. The dent guy wouldn’t push it from the inside as he said he needed to see the effect ftom the outside.

Have recommended local going to have a look n see what can be done on Friday......
Described the problem so fingers crossed!!

Thanks for the help guys , especially @F2JON
Got the dent taken out perfectly today ( from behind with rods ) .
Highly recommend dent devils Inverness for anyone in North of Scotland!
Just the wee bit paint to touch up better now .
Delighted !
Quick question where did they gain access on the panel, I have one also in similar place and wondered if they need to be outside to see affect on the panel when popping dent out ? Thanks

Access from removing the lining panels inside the van.
Aye , he did have a look outside as he did it .
Good job , I don't notice it now
