Deciding between T6 Kombi HL or Vito Crew

hello all.

Found this forum last night and what a great resource it is.

We were all set to buy a new Vito but are now considering a T6 Kombi as well and the various info and opinions on here is proving mighty useful.

Not any easy decision, or at least not for us.

Welcome to the Forum @wheeledwidewebb where you will find loads of advice and guidance from lots of lovely peeps with wide experiences and knowledge who are only too willing to answer queries if asked. From my perspective, as probably the only member that hasn't got and isn't intending to get a T6, I believe the T6 will give you many advantages over the Vito. Good hunting and keep us all posted as members here take great interest in the doings of others - still not sure if that's pooling knowledge or being nosy

Will sure keep the forum posted.

In truth it's a bit of a head versus heart decision.

By heart says Vito, I think they drive better, are more comfortable and a bit less van like and the auto is coloumn mounted so loads of knee room.

But my head says that the popularity of the Kombi must be for good reason, there is lots of info out there (like this forum) whereas Vito info is really limited. Probably stronger residuals on a Kombi as well.

Lastly the Vito seems to be a bit rattly, I was quite amazed.

Decisions, decisions.

Welcome along, the Vito was never one I considered and after looking at the vans on offer I can only say Mercedes are trying to jump on the bandwagon by offering similar options to what VW offer but they will never have the following VW has

Saw a Vito in the dealers after I'd brought mine.. Didn't like the interior or dash, or the shape.. Had considered, but glad I didn't..

Or the range of accessories as the Vito hasn't a large enough leisure user base to make it commercially viable at the moment to supply anything other than universal items that can be adapted.

For looks, accessories and reliability I chose the VW over the Merc.

It was the only other machine on my list too.

None of the Vitos we looked at had a touchscreen, even the £50,000 models... Apple CarPlay was on our 'must have' list and it seems a bloody cheek for the most expensive brand on the market to be the last to implement such changes.

However, their comfortmatic seats with tilt are soooooo comfy :)

Might add they also had to copy the California with their Marco Polo version which is like hens teeth and as yet I have not seen one

I bought the Kombi so glad I did its lovely and not van like at all. I had a Vito but didnt like the interior of the new model, very flat...
