So......

I’ve bought a Caravelle ! It ticked boxes that were elusive on a Kombi and as I was buying used “TO GET OFF THE PCP HAMSTER WHEEL” my selection was limited, And as I’m off the hamster wheel having owned Land Rovers for the past 15 years I am going to be modding this,

I’ve started already, Mud flaps, HEKO wind deflectors, front chin spoiler, side repeaters, I need to get rid of the shiny clutter on the front end which in my opinion looks hideous ! I’m after gloss black, I’m going to do the sides and rear strips as well but need to get started on the front end as I’m gonna add the chin spoiler as soon as it lands, I don’t think I’ve been this excited about fiddling with a car since trampling around GTI International at Crowthorne in the 90’s.

I’ve owned a T5 calli Beach from new which I sold for serious money last month, so it seemed a natural progression to go for a T6, my son is 6’4” now and sleeping in the van isn’t an option for a 16 year old with street cred, so I swapped it for a mini bus which has seriously affected my street cred apparently ?

looking forward to getting to grips with this new project and also need to replace the Palmerston alloys which don’t suit the van at all, I don’t like shiny silver and black it’s either one or the other,

I want to take the shiny silver strips off my van and replace with gloss black.

I believe they are hard to remove? May be easiest getting them painted or wrapped in place.

Check out Vanstyle or Van-x for replacing your chrome bits?

I replaced my grille for a Highline one when I fitted the Lazer spot lights. I bought some carbon trims to cover the remaining chrome on the new grille and the lower one from Vanstyle, but the fit is crap. I'm actually preferring the single chrome grille strip with the original lower grille one now.

Hi ,silly question,do you still have your Palmerston alloys?. Looking for a set . Thanks .

They’re 2 years old. Done 10k miles. That’s all.
One of them has a scuff tho and needs a re furb. It’s not deep it’s lifted the finish but Needs a quality repairer to do the work tho as there are specialists who can work on these alloys as they have a diamond cut finish.

What size are they, and how much u thinking ,.? Got a brand new set of Sportlines in boxes but wife prefers the Palmerstons.

They’re 18” All Palmerston alloys that are genuine VW are 18”. There are lots of repro ones on that there auction site and they’re called Palmerston “Style” alloy wheel. The genuine VW ones are a fair bit more than the repro ones as you can understand. As for price I’m not sure ? I was going to sell them off individually as there seems to be a few selling for strong money to those who have Jeeves theirs. I’ve just put 2 tyres on the front with the snow so not sure if you want tyres the rears are 10k miles old so hardly any wear, conti sport contacts. Not sure on the price ? Make me an offer.

forum mods I will be upgrading to VIP member here so panick averted X Thanks
