Damaged Pop Top Roof On Our T6 :-(

hi

after a great weekend away in the camper it ended on a sour note i'm afraid, I lowered the pop top roof and when i was just about to tighten the two straps to hold it down , I noticed the brackets on the roof on each side are loose. I can only presume these are tack welded and the weld has snapped off ? I have only had the roof up 3 times as we only got the converted T6 @ the end of july 2018. I have tightened them very loosely because if i tighten anymore it looks like the brackets will rip striaght through the grey felt ( sorry i'm not sure of the exact name for it)
Luckily the roof is still under gurantee so it will be getting repaired this week hopefully, I just wondered if anyone else had ever had the same problem?

Not good given the limited use you've had out of it. What make of roof is it - can't see what is going on under the surface but this fitting look very poor?? Hope you get it sorted quickly.

- thats what i thought, i'm not happy at all with it to be honest, I can't believe this has happened after such limited use . The roof is from a company called C&H campers. I'm just waiting for some information as to what is going to happen next.

Its hard to tell from the photos, have the bolts pulled through the fibreglass roof? any idea which specific roof C & H use?

Hopefully it’s just something not tightened up properly when they fitted and relatively easy for them to fix once they pull the lining back. Let us know how you get on

Ill be honest Phil i'm unsure what specific roof they use. Hopefully i'll have more information by the end of today
