Ctek D250SA

Hi guys. I have the Ctek unit in my T6 and am installing a 100/120w solar panel very soon. My question is, is it advisable to install a solar controller between the panel and the Ctek (just to monitor charging status). i am aware the the Ctek has built in MPPT technology to handle this.
Cheers and I hope someone can advise

Dont add a solar controler.

Just panel directly into the ctek.... you can add an isolator switch if you wish.

Keep a note of the max VOC the ctek can handle... 22v voc ish.

I'm no expert but I would suggest aiming for at least 150 / 160W panel just because you can and it might save the need to upgrade for a while! It would be a little more expensive with more or less the same amount of work to install. We've got a 160W Photonics Universe jobbie on our Westdubs roof (also wired through a Ctek 250SA) and it does a good job of keeping everything ticking over nicely on our camper. I seem to recall that Dellmassive wrote a good piece about power budgets a while ago and it's worth a read before you go further.
