Can the increments be changed from jumping 5mph to 1mph the same as the T5.1 ? Or am i missing a button somewhere ? Taa

Cruise control
If you press +or- once you get a 5mph increment.

But
Recently found out that ..
If you press and hold them you get a smooth and steady acceleration/ deceleration in 1mph increments.

Also, unlike my aged Passat, depressing the clutch does not disengage CC which is actually very handy.

Also RES is +1 and SET is -1 once cruise control is running.

Edit: Just seen Studleyglass has mentioned this...oops

That's interesting and helpful - my usual (lazy) method for disengaging cruise control in previous vehicles has been a quick dab of the clutch pedal.
Could have caught me out!

I found that that if the engine is struggling a bit, perhaps a wrong gear for a gradient say, you can change down without the CC disengaging.

The 5 mph increment conrrol is a maximum of 5mph at a time. If you operate it to increase your speed when you are doing 64mph, it will only increase by 1mph, to 65 mph.

Agreed

but in addition, you can use it for smooth acceleration by press and hold.
