Hi, Van looks great, what size wheel do you have and is it lowered if so by how much.
I am planning a trip to CRS next year, with their reputation it's the only place to go...
20" Range Rover Vogue.
Front dropped 70mm and rear 40mm.
Worth every penny.

CRS just fitted the Koni special actives to the rear of my saggy SWB T6 along with T32 springs and 25mm spacers. What a difference! It drives way better as its now less prone to side winds, brakes feel better, steering is no longer light and vague, it no longer rocks back and forth when coming to a stop and it's no longer trying to go straight on in bends.

Steve even made a brew while work took place! The only problem is that I now really want to get the front fitted with the Konis as well as a set of H&R ARBs! I'll be back at CRS very soon....

Thanks for sorting my van CRS.

Rear spring rubber mounts ?.. they are a pain and fail prematurely . A year ago I asked Powerflex to manufacture a custom mount in a design that would fit after market springs ( thicker pigtails than standard. ) They refused my request to develope to my specification and chose to go it alone with their own design . Result. A mess ? The mounts are not ideal and dont actually solve the issue we have With the standard mounts. 250 ordered. 100 received and 96 returned for credit . We are in the process of getting them made else where as a year of patient waiting was wasted. , the mounts are expensive and really don’t solve issues.

Great to meet and chat with Steve the other day. Thanks for changing my T6 rear springs from T28 to T30 ones, and I look forward to seeing you again after the conversion is finished in Feb/March nxt year.. so we can see what spacers it needs to level the T6 up. THANKS!

Quick update to my original post, I spend fireworks season trying to escape the noise and limit the distress to my dog, so was up on the back roads and moors of north Wales. The upgraded suspension, which had only been lightly used prior, seemed to be working really well and made going down potholed car park accesses a positively ok experience. Does it bed in and improve over time? Bloody marvellous, compared to before it was changed.

I didn't even mind we had to pack up and leave fairly soon from the 1st place, as some di*k motorhomer fired up the noisiest generator ever.

@CRS Performance Hey Steve, what’s your thoughts about VB Air or Bilstein Air suspension on a 4Motion California Ocean ?
Would be good to know.
Hope you n that other Steve are doing okay
You are asking the wrong guy ha ha , I am not a fan at all !! , Whilst i can see the attraction of levelling a camper on a field , the 6000 pound advantage stops there . The VB air system isnt showing long term reliability and the shocks in the kit aren't great so the ride is very average and cant be set low for normal driving .

The yellow Bilstein shocks would be better than the VB air BUT yellow Bilsteins are notoriously firm as they are hi pressure gas as well .

My money will always be on conventional quality systems.

We get great results and remember ride quality comes from the shock , So replacing a conventional Steel spring with an air bag doesnt improve ride at all , but gives flexibility on ride height only !!

Thanks Steve, yeah I guess £5k to be level on a campsite is a bit daft. I always thought it’s not going to be like a Range Rover Air system which is pretty amazing. But I’m guessing that’s more like 3 times the amount.
It could have been so good if they got the shock right. Their loss.
If you had 5k, and only wanted to go 20mm lower front and rear, what Shocks would you go for?
Running 18” in winter and 19 or 20 in summer.

The only shock to fit at 20 mm lower is a Koni special active. Self adjusts to suit road surface and with out doubt the best comfort /handling package there is. Bonus under a grand. . No need to spend more at all

I was back at CRS yesterday, new rear spring rubbers, new front 340mm brake kit and rear uprated discs and pads, all fitted in next to no time. Great guys and great service.

I suppose the best way to review CRS is to say that instead of going to a local VW specialists my preference is to take a day off work and drive a 6 hour round trip so I know the right guys are fitting the right parts to my van.

Plush Air want £7.5k to install self level.
I’m thinking I can buy a lot of camp sites and fishing equipment for £6k !
Then spend £1.5 with you to get the Shocks right !
Thoughts about KW Suspension ?

I went up to CRS Performance today to have my standard dampers with VW accessory brochure Eibach lowering springs removed. After a discussion with Steve, decided upon the ST X Coilovers with H&R anti-roll bars. What a transformation! Could tell the difference straight away on a test drive with regards to damping and compliance but having had the 3 hour drive home on a variety of roads including Norfolk's finest surface B-roads (sarcasm), I have to say that it drives completely in a completely different manner to stock. Very pleased I made the trip, and great service from Steve & the guys.

Hi Steve @CRS Performance
I wanted to leave it a few days and have a good drive after having the STX KW kit fitted before reviewing.
First of all, Steve is extremely knowledgeable and just a nice guy. I would recommend them without a doubt. I would have been more than capable of fitting the coilovers myself, but I’m glad I got the team at CRS to install, super quick and saved me having to get my hands dirty.
What a transformation from the cheap coilovers fitted before. The drive is quieter and feels much more solid on the road. I am in a T30 with kitchen and r&r bed on 266/40/20 if this helps anyone. I no longer get the crashy noise when hitting potholes, it’s now more of a thud, but in a nice way. I have a nice drive down to the Alps next month and the STX kit will make the journey that much more enjoyable and relaxing.
Just wished i had asked about the ARBs now, not sure if i need them but see others getting the upgrade.
Thanks Steve.

Visited Steve & Steve at CRS Performance today. My T32 was like Bambi on ice prior to visit but wow, what a difference when I left 2 hours later! The ride and handling has been transformed and as for the look, well I know beauty is in the eye of the holder but I am sooo happy! I supplied my own wheels & tyres but relied on Steve’s expertise for the suspension. I ended up with Evo Teknik short springs and Komi shocks. Lowered by about 60mm. Travelled all the way from Leeds and was well worth it. Can highly recommend CRS especially if you have a Transporter! Thank you both again!

Another happy customer for Steve and his Team at CRS Performance... Had my T6.1 T32 lwb fitted with the KW coilovers at the weekend and couldn't be more impressed
The service and advice from Steve and his team are second to none and personally for me a near 200 mile round trip was money and time well spent.
The difference in the ride quality and handling improvement from standard is impressive to say the least, plus the van just looks so much better as well.
I don't usually post about anything to be honest, but thought that my experience dealing with CRS Performance definitely deserves some praise.
If you want an honest company to fit the best setup for your van without the bullsh@t you often get from some jumped up salesman that doesn't actually know anything the product they're trying to sell you, look no further than Steve and his Team.
Huge thank you guys, you deserve the cracking reputation you've built and totally deserve the recognition
Cheers
Mark

Very nice. Which rims are those?

Looks very well. What size are the new alloys? Is there much of an increase in road noise with the change of tyres?

Took a quick trip to CRS today to get a set of H&R anti roll bars fitted; highly recommended! Steve and his team were fantastic, all fitted within an hour and it has made a very noticeable difference to the van. Steve and myself had a good chat about suspension setups and what I want from the van and has made recommendations for the next step and I look forward to visiting CRS next year for a shock absorber upgrade. Thanks again guys, was a pleasure meeting you.
