Connecting solar panels up BEFORE entering the roof

Hi,

Has anyone connected their solar panels so that just a single wire enters the van roof? i.e two wires into one via connector and then through roof.

Could you post photos of how you have secured the connectors please?

Any issues with longevity of connectors, concerned they would corrode?

Cheers

??? connect the two solar wires into one? that would short the panel!

Didn't explain myself clearly enough.

This is to connect two leads of the same polarity into a connector to then form one lead.

I.e. two negative leads via connector into a single. and whether the connector should be on the roof outside i.e. pre gland to minimise the number of holes or inside the van.

Cheers

I’ve used something similar on my boat, they are 3 into 1 but then there is still a neg and a positive cable to go through the roof. This is used to connect 2 solar panels in parallel?

There are top entry boxes but rather large. I have a photo somewhere not on phone. Dm me and I'll try to find one for you. Cheers
