Evening,
I have a JL Audio amp which I fitted with a line convertor to make it easy to connect the RCAs to the head unit. Except the line convertor is crap and now has given up. The amp takes a high or low input so I gather I can just connect the headunit direct to the amp. Is there a cable for sale to do this?
I did order some RCA plugs and attempted to solder the speaker wire to them. The speaker wire is reasonably fat and soldering both positive and negative into a single RCA jack was an utter nightmare. How do other people connect these type of amps to the headunit? If making up a cable soldering RCA jacks one end and those quadlock pin connectors the other, what thickness speaker cable are you using?
Thanks
Si
