Connecting head unit to amp

Evening,

I have a JL Audio amp which I fitted with a line convertor to make it easy to connect the RCAs to the head unit. Except the line convertor is crap and now has given up. The amp takes a high or low input so I gather I can just connect the headunit direct to the amp. Is there a cable for sale to do this?

I did order some RCA plugs and attempted to solder the speaker wire to them. The speaker wire is reasonably fat and soldering both positive and negative into a single RCA jack was an utter nightmare. How do other people connect these type of amps to the headunit? If making up a cable soldering RCA jacks one end and those quadlock pin connectors the other, what thickness speaker cable are you using?

Thanks
Si

Skipton do a loom that has RCAs coming out of it that you can plug the amp right into think its around £50-60 on their website shop or @Absolut5 may have an adapter he can supply you ?

I can supply you a purpose built plug and play loom, ideal for the JL amps, and we use it on all our JL amp installs to T6s

Ps, cheaper than the one above ......

Absolut5, How about a nice little kit of all the bits required to add an amp and speakers to a standard headunit?

Looms, collars, speakers, subs, enclosures etc? Maybe even a little diagram of where to feed the cables for us DIY'ers.
