Composition media touchscreen not fully responsive

Hi all,

I’ve just spotted an issue with the touchscreen on my composition media head unit. There is an area to the upper right of the screen (where some menu options and current song on CarPlay are accessed) which doesn’t respond at all when pressed. There is no physical damage I can see and all other aspects of the unit are fine. Tried the obvious screen clean and no faults on VCDS/Carista/on the unit itself. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any chance it could be covered by the all in plan warranty I’ve got? Thanks in advance.

Hi thanks for the flag. I just searched the head unit type and didn’t know how to describe the fault when searching. Now found the thread.

It may help others to note that VAG retrofits in Coventry can replace the digitiser only for £120. Haven’t used them yet but they seem very helpful. Thanks
