Clock’s Not Lighting Up On Side Lights

hi all’ looking for a little help .
When auto lights selected clock are illuminated
When side lights are selected clocks are not illuminated
When main lights selected clocks are illuminated
Is this normal or do I have a problem
I have vcds but no idea where to check any help appreciated

My Cali did that and my Caddy. On side lights no dash lights but switch to dipped beam the dash lights are on. I can only think its so you don't leave it on side lights when it gets dark the dash lights would make you think the dipped beam was on ???

I never use the sidelights so I've not noticed this but I've just checked and mine are the same so I assume it's normal?

For the last two weeks I’ve been wondering if mine was broke!

Glad it’s not.

Are they supposed to light up without any lights on? I swear mine illuminate sometimes then go off.

I think they will fade up and down if light sensor sees it dark like when you go through a tunnel

If I were to get another van, then I would like the dash lights on with the side lights as well as dipped beam if possible.

Theres nothing in the coding that relates to this but maybe possibilities in the adaptions ?
Scale dimming ??
