Hi, In myT5 camper I have a Cbe PC100 and Cbe DS300 system but today whilst removing the PC100 panel which was working as I had the lights on the system turned off... and now the panel will not stay on, when I push power button it lights up with dead battery I.e 1 red LED on the battery indicator the lights in the van light up and the DS300 RELAY clicks but almost instantly it switches off.

I've checked all fuses
Disconnected all attached plugs for lights etc
Hooked up to the mains (Panel shows mains connected)
Run engine (panels shows Charging light on panel)
Checked both battery voltages
Fridge still works panel not needed to be on but it runs through DS300
Usb and cigaret lighter adaptor works panel not needed to be on but they runs through DS300

I have upload a recording to YouTube so yo can see the issue, any help advice would crately appreciated.

Folks

I am currently down in Ashington just north of Newcastle getting a solar panel fitted

Panel fitted with no issues

Back at my overnight spot

Lights / fridge / heater and inverter working fine

Also have a battery monitor like This one

Got a cold one from the fridge then plugged a cigarette to USB converter in

Like this one

Power went off to lights and fridge
But the heater stayed on

The BM2 also seems to be dead

I am convinced this is nothing to do with the solar panel install

My theory is there was a power surge and it took out the BM2 and more importantly the CBE PC-100 control unit

Does anybody know anything about CBE kit

The company them selves does not seem to offer any direct support

While the pc100 is about £70 to replace
I would be very upset if the same thing happened again

Any thoughts

Is the BM2 connected directly to the leisure battery?

is guess the PC100 control panel has become disconnected from the control box, the one with the fuses in. Check its connected properly

A small update

Rechecked all fuses that we could see , all look OK

Attached the van to hook up 240volt
Control panel comes back on with lights etc

So at least it is not the control panel

So looks like there might be some other fuse or relay that I have not as yet found

Found the issue a very dodgy wire and a blown 30amp fuse.

Fixed the wire and replaced the fuse holder , which had some pins moving , and replaced the fuse

All up and working again.

I really dislike the CBE PC100 and after a recent hiring it came back broken so I took it apart and in the end decided the best option was for a DIY solution for something far simpler and more reliable. I put together a little video... which may help. These panels are poorly made:
- hope this helps someone
