Wheel-Arch Carpeting

Hi guys, it's my first time carpeting the inside of a van. My local van conversion specialist advised that I shouldn't bother sound deadening my wheel arches and just carpet them instead, is this sound advice? Surely the clips and joints would be visable through the carpet if I dont. Please advise.

Thank you for replying however it's not really a question of how to apply carpet to the arch but more of a question to the preparation beforehand and if I should sound deaden them or not?

I added sound deadening. The wheel arches are probably less prone to vibrations and reverberations than the larger blank panels - however, all the video's I've watched, (from conversion 'specialists' and hobbyists) recommend sound deadening.
It still looks good too:thumbsup:

I too would recommend adding sound proofing, without it tyre noise from the rears is really noticeable.

Sound deadening to the rears is often said to be better outside. It leaves a better surface for the carpet to be stuck to.
