Carista reporting low starter motor voltage

Hi . I’ve just had a new starter battery fitted . I checked the voltage in Carista and was confused to see
a voltage reading of 12.1 v with ignition on and only 12.3 with engine running .
this is basically the same voltage as my last battery was showing that just died only a couple of days ago.

also I’ve read that Carista has a live data info that displays engine info in real time in including battery charge
percentage and yet mine does not display this info in the iPhone app .
anyone with some clarity on this ? I’ve done Google searches etc .. no results .

That would be my next move. Check you actually have a problem.
Yeh I’m pretty sure the battery is fine it was more a question regarding the weird unhelpful Carista info .. just seeing if anyone else gets the same illogical voltage on their Carista app

Give the new battery a charge.
Well I just did a 60 mile trip so I’m guessing it’s charged by the alternator ? Actually I’ve done several trips since the new battery was installed two days ago it was also checked that the alternator was charging correctly by the AA it’s regularly serviced and and the vans under a two year extended warranty .. can’t see why I should be needing to charge it..

On EU6 if the battery is full.... IE over 80%

Then the alternator free wheels and doesn't produce power... This is all normal.(emmisions and fuel savings) and how the smart alternator works.

To show a higher voltage at tick over you need to turn on some big loads..... IE heated seats or heated windscreen.
