As i don't have VCDS or the skillset to use it even if i did.. Is the new Carista evo worth it for the T6.1?, given it's the Bosch (locked) ECU, does it make a difference to Carista use? i have tried to find what the evo will do on the T6.1 but nothing listed online.

Tell you in a few weeks, just had mine delivered today. Don't plan on messing about too much, but use for faults etc. The 6.1 seems to have a few options already through the head unit.

I'm just hoping it's safe enough. Just watched @Dellmassive video -

Thanks, be interested to find out what's available. Like turning off those dumbass cornering lights!

What changes are people doing?

Most of them seem a bit pointless but spotted a couple I might try.

Anyone tried the haldex settings?

With Carista and my 6.1 (DNAA engine/t30/22 plate), you can turn off cornering lights.
It is a great little tool to have. Nowadays it is more useful than having a socket wrench. Without it you won't have any idea if or what has gone wrong.
I used the Carista for a month to get the settings I want and will pay for a month whenever needed - but it still does diagnostics for free.

I would have liked to use VCDS but firstly, I am quite tight, and secondly there is much more to screw up on that system.
It is still possible to screw up some things using Carista but make sure you keep a note of what the original settings were as managed to change some things but found it difficult to get them back to original settings as I didn't make a note of what I'd changed.

So, plugged the Carista EVO in for the first time last night. I haven't changed anything yet, to scared to cock it up TBF.

It's throwing up the error 'B200049 - Control module faulty: Internal electrical malfunction'

Did you hit the reset button? I get a few historic fault codes on mine from disconnecting the SB, they do reset though and the Google feed on the 'fault' is useful to read.

I'll have a try of a few things this weekend if I remember.

Interested to see if LED DRL bulbs can be used if I disable bulb checks.

IMG_1789.webpGot this when I reset it. Google tells me it’s something to do with power steering but all seems good??

Every time I do a scan I get a Telematics fault, in my case the reset clears it, I wouldn't be too worried about it!
It's defo my SOS module, never worked right. Had an error when I bought it from the converter, they 'fixed' it apparently. Not an essential for me.
