Caravelle tailgate trim removal

This might be too late but I did this recently to add some extra sound deadening. Remove the pull-down strap via the screws first. I could not seem to remove the switch (didn't want to force it), so I left it attached to start with. Raise the taligate and then pull down from one bottom corner - insert a trim tool to help pop the first clip. Then just move along the bottom of the tailgate popping the rest of the clips. Once you have popped the lower clips and you can see the switch you can reach in and disconnect it. Then just pull it down and the rest of the clips will pop. At the top there are metal clips but just gently pull down and you should be good. An extra pair of hands is helpful. Picture of the tailgate below shows all the clips. It's a lot easier than it first appears. Hope it helps.

Caravelle owner here with a door handle issue. I need to get the drivers side door card off (the one with the blind in it) but haven’t a clue where the clips are! I don’t know where to start. Any advice would be greatly appreciated 
It’s a T6, but I imagine the 6.1 is very similar if not identical.
