The dash conversion cost is frightening, I was thinking about retrimming my current dash in leather but don't know how that would affect passenger airbag deployment in the event of an accident!
Yeh my plan was to ask the retrimmera who i plan to do my seats to see if they could also do the dash....but as I say I am unsure if the dash being retrimmed in leather is even possible given how the airbag would be expected to deploy. Anyone any ideas or attempted this?
It can be done, you need breakaway stitching in the area, but it's finding someone to do it, make sure it's detailed that they have done it on your paperwork, and you might be wise to speak to your insurers...
