i have driven a car for the first time tonight in over a month after part ex'ing my Polo GTi in and I have to say I have hated it! Feels so strange. Just love driving a van now! Only ever drove all my other vans on camping trips or events, but now my van is my daily it is just ace! Anyone else?

I agree. Having driven an LT, and then a crafter for work for the last 13 years, i always hated driving the family car. However now the family car is a t6 I've got the best of both worlds.

I dont even like being a passanger in a small car.

I do enjoy driving ours too but being rural Cornwall, you do need extra care on the narrow lanes. The high driving position is great but I still like driving our Subaru and BMW a lot; the BM is quite low but as soon as I start it, it makes a great noise then goes like stink.

Nice to have the choice really.

When my 66 beetle is back on the road I am sure I will love driving that, but just love being able to see everything!

Don't feel right in a normal car my daily is a Yeti, takes getting used to getting anything lower on the road

I sometimes drive my wife's mini cooper.......gotta say I love it! It's a little hotrod.........but I love the view from my dub......and I feel more secure being out of the impact zone, god forbid I'm ever in an RTC.

Must admit I love my van, and use it every day as its my work van, but also enjoy the family car ( new BMW 535 diesel m sport) . Like having a play with the paddle shifts, then when the suns out shining, nothing better than getting the Porsche 3.2 targa with its flat6 out, which is a totally different driving experience altogether especially listening to the sound of the engine ( well it's either that or a tape !!!!!! ):thumbsup::thumbsup:

@mopardave i drive the missus Mini Cooper too, it is like a gokart, it's the only time I want to put my foot down nowadays. However, at 6'2 it is far too cramped, I'm forever banging my head on the grab handles, struggle to reach for the seatbelt to put it on and the windscreen is so tiny, give me the T6 any day.

Just driven rather briskly in the M135i; definitely shocks some people when I blast past them, engine screaming. It pops between upshifts (auto) too. Lots of fun.

I know where your coming from I had the office pool car at the start of the week (Merc E22o AMG Estate) and although I missed the night now im back in the van I do miss the RWD and instant acceleration and the refinement.

A few of us with M135is met up and did a go-karting day. It was quite funny getting back into our cars - they felt like giant, wobbly jellies compared to the karts! Shows how you soon get used to things.

Definitely find our 204 far more "fun" to drive than our old 180 though - that extra oomph and smoothness makes quite a difference. And it's lighter too.

Just back from Harrogate saw the worst driving I've seen for a long time, boy racer in a Fiat Stilo (yes really) speeding along a road that goes from two to one lane, kept out wide, just missed a truck and cut in front of me braking hard on a wet road, half sideways, just missed me and the car in front, I didn't need to find them words my wife did, 200 yards later takes the right filter lane sat in standing traffic, what total ****

Stupid idiots about for sure! Part of the reason I no longer drive a GTi is the idiots it attracted who tried to race/run me off the road !

They did an Abarth one that was very slightly quicker than a Perodua Kelisa. But only slightly...

I've been an IAM member for just shy of 20 years plus Roz trained (nowhere near Pedro's level but better than most) so drive defensively. The upside being I've never crashed, have a clean license and can "make progress" with a level of awareness and safety lacking in your average Boy Racer playing pinball with his chaviot.

Had the BM almost three years and I'm STILL amazed at the overtakes you can do in it but also how quickly it stops if needed (60-0 time is the same as a current 911).
