T6 Legend
Hi

It's clearly a minefield out there for those looking at getting a T6 converted to a full camper....

I'm looking for a company that specialises in conversions to the customers spec... Rather than the few they show you in a brochure... As I want it converted mainly with off grid touring in mind and a few extras

Can anyone recommend a good company in the North West of england... Happy to travel 100 mile radius of Manchester for the right company.

Any recommendations appreciated

Thanks

Jason

Jerba Campervans in North Berwick will build campervan to your spec.
I have pop up roof with solar panel and diesel cooker so I can go off grid for a long time.

I would visit some of them, and get a feel see if you like the conversion and the person doing the conversion, we looked at 3 companies down south who came recommended, but we didn’t get a good feel about them, I also looked at two very local to me, one I loved them and the conversion, but the pop top wouldn’t take the weight of a roof box, which was a must for us, the second I had spoken with a few years ago and didn’t like them.
We then spotted a Jaibow conversion with the Hilo Roof, and bought the van as everything was right on the van for what we wanted at that time (the roof and the underslung gas tank)
Jaibow has since added more things and has been ace
But I would say get a feel for the person doing it as you will have to speak to them during the conversion and after.

Hi Critch. forgot to say I have roof bars fitted for intention of carrying roof box, roof bars can take 100kg load.
I know the guy who runs Jerba carries cannoes on his pop up roof.

Nu Venture at Wigan. Dan and his team are v. professional and do many bespoke Campervans on different base vans including be.
You can check out his work on his YouTube video channel - dantheman321.

Three Bridge all the time, brand new workshop. Well worth the journey. We are excited every time we open our van door two years on. Great bunch who never tired of our silly question or at least didn’t tell us!

Exploria at Brighouse just up the M62.
Take your time to discuss your needs, and make sure you are happy with all aspects.

Thanks guys, i'll draw up a shortlist after visiting a few of them and get a feel for their workmanship and set-up...

I'll be going in with a 'rough' build spec of what i want in the van, so hopefully it'll give me an idea of the price between them when they quote up the conversion.
