Need some decent reference material for an apprentice mechanic my lad knows fir fitting a cambelt on a CAAB engine [1.9 TDI 2016]
His old man is an old classic engine guy like myself and doesn't know how to set modern ones.
needs reference material, How to set them, peg them and make sure they're bang on.
Hes got one from a scrap yard and wants to have a tinker- currently in its component parts in his garage.
I got chest pain looking at it to be honest.
cambelts are Not my area of expertise im afraid as I recently discovered.
Youtube not an option as hes a diagram guy [autism].... so lucky in that respect. Sharp lad, just not great with watching it done...the opposite of most of us.
