California Pop-top belt

Hi, does anyone know what this belt is for? It plugs into either side and normally roles up with the window flaps.

It is to help stop the canvas for bellowing outwards while closing the roof.
Yes it would be better at the rear near scissor hinge.

Yes, but that would be difficult to get at with the bed in the way.

We installed our own on our Reimo roof, and always leave it clipped together. Once closed its under no tension but as soon as it’s lifted it also helps prevent any minor movement in winds like the front one
