Cali conversion, SWB rails in a LWB van - can you still get the bed far enough back to make the bed?

I have finally found a converter to do the rails, but they want to do them in the normal position, is at the front.

However my concern is then that I would have enough rail to get the seat far enough back to make a bed. Can it be done and still have enough room for a multiflex board in the rails, or even using a Cali design brackets on the furniture etc.

Pics would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have swb rails in my LWB with cali bench seat. Rails in forward position.
No issue with going back far enough to make the bed.
If you modify the cali multiflex and brackets you won't need to use the rails for the multiflex. That's what I plan on doing.
I'll try get pics later.

With front of bed 190cm from rear door the rails are under the bed, so not suitable for mounting the multiplex.
I need to edit the photos as they are too large to upload.

Thanks yes.
What are the plans for the multiflex?
Where do the rails start please? OEM position ie as far forwards as possible?

Thanks again

Pic of distance from driver seat base to rail.

Here's my temp multiflex board solution. Storage boxes are from IKEA. 4" foam I had left over from another project.

Final solution will probably be a hinged, removable board. I want to still be able to fit 8x4ft sheets between the seat and the kitchen so need to do some thinking on the bracket for the kitchen side.

im still trying to work out where to put the rails and how to make/mount the bed extension.
im pretty close to the point of selling the Cali seat and going in a different direction.
