Cab Vibrations On 2018 Highline. Engine Missing Mounting Bolt?

Change the oil, I changed mine at 8k and it made a big difference to the refinement and volume of the engine.

Infact have you checked the oil level? Might be worth a quick look

Check your dash, it tells you when the next one is due ;)

If it's due soon then leave it but if its due in 8k, I'd change but that's just me...

Oil service
@10300 mi/390 days
Inspection
@9100 mi/358 days

@RedUn Is this when it should be serviced or how many miles to the next service/inspection?

Number of miles to next service, I'd change it now, I did mine around similar mileage and it was like a new engine after!

Not at all, it's not technically part of the servicing so as long as you use vw approved parts it's all good, I did ask a dealership and they said it was a waste of money...its not their van though!

I went for the vw approved castrol 5w30, you'll need 2 bottles, Halfords trade card comes in handy if you have one ;)

Ok, is it easy to change oil yourself or just best to take to a local trusted garage or van specialist?

Would love to start learning engines and trying to conduct some basic maintenance myself over time. My neighbour is a petrol head and is stripping down and rebuilding a 1970 mustang. Impressive how much he has done.

It's not difficult at all but depends on your confidence, I'd just take it a local garage if your not ready to tackle it yet, vw will charge you a lot... Or ask your neighbour :cool:

Ditto - I imagine your neighbour will be more than happy to help - people like that usually are. Once they’ve walked you through it, you’ll be surprised at how simple it is. A lot of maintenance bits are simple too, but just don’t come to mind.
Get yourself a Haynes manual and fire away.

Neighbour has already offered to help change the wheels over, so I’ll at least ask his advise. I’ll buy him a few beers!

Hi, Bit of an old thread but did you ever figure this out? i have something similar but i think mine was caused by multiple things....i have had a wheel alignment and wheel balancing done, i also replaced a drive shaft which made it a lot better but its still there, I'm now leaning towards a wheel bearing as one has started to squeak / creak a bit so hoping that;s the answer.

Sorry long time ago, you forget what you write in these forums. I think it was just not used to driving a van to be honest. I don’t notice anything now. Had different suspension fitted since as well think that helped compared to the stock.
