Bonnet deflectors

Hi, looking for a bonnet protector for my t6.1 camper. Never had a vehicle pick up so many stonechips and windscreen chips. I’m always well back from people yet still get hit!

Are these bonnet protectors any good? Do the small clips you slide onto bonnet edge not damage/scratch the already easy to mark paint?? Am I better with a bonnet bra? If so which one? Thanks!

A friend of mine owns Cannock Resprays, a motorhome body shop. He says don't do a bonnet deflector because you can't see the rust that develops underneath 'the thing'. Just get the bonnet sprayed every once in a blue moon. I call him Hagrid, I wouldn’t argue with him!

Yeah look like muck harbourers and potentially water traps which won’t do bonnet much good.
