Early this morning at about 00:40, the van alarm went off.
I got up to investigate.
Side door unlocked but not open.
Tailgate unlocked but not open.
Alarm resets on the remote but neither lock.
Front doors lock on the remote.

I think, battery ( it’s 00:50 now and I may not have had 100% clear thoughts) and add try and manually lock the van.
Then add a slave/jump battery to get some power in.
After a few goes it locks.

I go back to bed.

Thinking now, what happened???
Battery is OK, but nothing brilliant.
Random electrical issue?
Some sort of theft attempt?
Last year the van was opened but not started.
I will check it today when it stops raining cats and dogs. (Not raining last night)

Keys are kept in a faraday cage, with the wife’s car keys.

Puzzled.
Need sleep.

You don't need to put your keys in a faraday cage unless you have keyless entry and/or ignition - neither of which came as standard on the T6? The standard key fob only emits a signal when you depress any of the buttons.

How about VCDS & alarm log
Will try and do.

Another job.

Not feeling the love for this van.
Has the battery been load tested? Just because it shows 12.?V doesn’t mean it’s good.
No, I haven’t had the chance, on a work break at the moment.
It must be goosed.
Annoyed as it is only about 3 years old. I think.
Well, perhaps "two birds, one stone"...

Please post blockmap files of both 09-Central electrics and 61-Battery managaement

1) Ignition OFF
2) Ignition ON/engine off

How-to create a blockmap file:
Note: only VCDS HEX-V2 or HEX-NET cables have the capability

[VCDS]
[Applications]
[Controller Channel Map]
- Single Controller Address =XX (use 09 for the BCM, and 61 for Battery management)
- Login or security access code: Leave blank
- Function: Measuring values
- Output: CSV file
[Go]

The result files (.csv) are saved into directory C:\Ross-Tech\VCDS\Logs

Thanks, I know this. All our keys live in a faraday cage as we bought one when Mrs got her last car and we want to keep things tidy. It’s just housekeeping.

Will do, as soon as I can.
Work getting in the way.
