Evening All,

Today, I finally got round to installing the PF Jones Tow Bar kit for my T6 (without Trailor prep).

All went well until I got to the coding part, and I'm now left with a van where I have loads of issues likely due to me messing up somewhere.

Issues:
Central Locking, Lights, Electric windows are not working. (one window does intermittently, the others stuck down. Tailgates locked shut and not able to open. Sliding door shows as open when its shut).

Things tried:
Scanning and deleted error codes
Deleting the Trailor gateway in vcds.
Disconnecting the negative/ touching the negative/ positive to drain BCM.
I've removed all wiring from the PF Jones kit to try and take me back to where I started this morning when everything was working.
Van does start and drive, but I have the EM Light on and light out warning.
I've checked all fuse boxes in the cab/ engine bay, and all are okay, nothing is blown.
I've read several similar threads but and tried those steps mentioned to no avail.

I did do a scan of the van before, but it wasn't a full scan, so I messed up here and I'm not sure what to do next.

I've attached the latest scan(s), and I'd be really grateful if someone can help me out, or give me some pointers.

TIA

Seems like there is a terminal 30 circuit issue. Check the fuses in the ebox under the battery

Morning Deaky

Had a look last night and they all looked intact. I’ll have another look this morning.

Looks like the battery is getting very low - have you tried charging it?
I haven’t tried this. Everything was working fine before installing the tow bar wiring, so seems a weird coincidence that it could be a low battery.

I’ll give it a try. Cheers

If you were working on the van with doors open etc. and then there is a good likelihood the battery would get run down during that time.

Part of the installation process was to make sure the battery was disconnected too. I’ll certainly give it a try though. The van starts fine, and even then there’s no power for lighting, etc.

So if everyone that reads this wants a laugh.

When tapping into the Canbus under the dash, I hadn’t put the plugs back in correctly. So they have an arm that clicks over a tab…whilst mine looked to have gone back in, they were not in fully. That’s 9 hours of my life I’ll never get back, but a very valuable lesson.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Well done for going back over everything and identifying the cause of the problem.
