Best way to refurb a leather steering wheel?

Hi All,

My Steering wheel has lost it's shine in places.
It is supposes to have a gloss coating but this has worn and I'm wondering if there is a way to re apply the gloss affect?

Is there any product out there that does the job?

When new, the leather should have a matt finish. They go glossy over time due to the build up of sweat, grime and other fluids transferred from our hands.

Something like a Flash Magic Eraser will clean the crap off it and restore the matt finish. However, they are pretty harsh, so if the wheel is very worn, you could end up going through it.

ahh, I thought it was meant to be shiny as most of the steering wheel is.
