Can someone recommend the best in the way of bedding for the lower bed in T6? Is it a fitted sheet and mattress and quilt? Is there a good/recommended supplier? Many thanks. Awaiting delivery of first ever camper van.

Hi @Phil S

Do you mean for a rock and roll bed?

Duvalay sleeping bags (with ‘built in’ duvet and topper) are very popular and pack up fairly small, not cheap though!

Worth considering...

Many thanks indeed. Yes I mean the rock and roll bed. Looked at Duvalay which seems excellent but is expensive. What price good sleep. Thanks for help and support for a newcomer

Many thanks for your help! Van under conversion and starting to equip it is great fun. Your support is much appreciated

I like Duvalay but just found them a bit short. My wife is about 5'4" and loves them but I'm 6'1" (they are specced at 6'3") but I just find that I need a little bit extra. Mind you, it's not only Duvalay that I have that problem with and I've actually sewn a fluffy blanket on to the end of a Vango wide bag making it about 7' long and it's now great as a two season. Size wise, I'm in heaven in my old Army Sleeping System bag which is plenty long enough but it's got to be bloody cold before it can be used comfortably for any length of time. Most of the time nowadays, we use a lightweight quilt and add other layers as and when....

So much helpful support! Many thanks. I had wondered about length. I am 6’ but shrinking with age! I will take all of your advice on board. Many thanks

We started with a double sleeping bag. However, now we just use standard, quality duvet over a fitted sheet over a layer of memory foam. The fitted sheet just tucks over the edge of the bed and the whole lot can be folded back in three sections to sit on the parcel shelf bit when we put the bed up and simply unfolded when the bed is deployed. The memory foam isn't completely required, but it's pretty damn comfy!

I can highly recommend the Vango Ambience double sleeping bag.
It has multiple layers for all temperatures , I have been in it from freezing to hight of summer.
You have the option for both people to have different layers. its amazing.
If you can still get one do it now.

Thanks Ron,
I should have delivery of the T6 in about five weeks when conversion complete and collated all responses and I think I will go with both options Duvalay and Vango which might be overkill but as I travel between DK and UK frequently I will keep a set in each place!!
