Barn Door Height adjustment

Hi

Is there a way to adjust the height of the barn doors?

I fitted a spare wheel on the driver side door and it now sits a few mm lower than the other side.

I checked photos of the back before I fitted the bracket and wheel and it was definitely dead even. Im judging by the high level brake light level, now visibly out of sync.

There is a little bit of movement in the hinges for adjusting the height.
I moved mine slightly higher when I put a protective strip on the bumper.
I think there was a youtube clip to follow.

Yeah you can adjust it, but it’s a bit of a fiddly job rather than a quick tweak.

From what I’ve seen, it’s usually a case of slightly loosening the hinge bolts and then gently shifting the door into position. Helps to have someone support the weight of the door while you do it, otherwise it tends to drop or move more than you want.

Just take it slow—tiny adjustments make a big difference, and it’s easy to mess up the alignment between the two doors if you go too far. Bit of trial and error, but you’ll get it sitting right 👍

Here is a video..

Notes -
A triple square (XZN) drive bit is needed (not torx)
Mark the current position first so that you have a reference point.
