Automatic Lights Fault

Got our new (to us) T6 campervan last week. Love the van. Small issue though... when we turn the lights to auto, we get a fault: "Fault: automatic headlight control."

Should I go to the caravan centre that I bought the van from or should I go to VW? Alternatively, anything I should do myself first?

Is it under warranty?

What type of headlights do you have? LED, H7 or H4?

If you have an auto dimming mirror, does that work? Auto wipers, do they work?

LEDs would have levelling sensors. May be that?

Worth a scan with VCDS or Carista.

Yes, still under manufacturer's warranty.

Pretty sure the lights are still standard.

I’d be speaking to VW. If you have a scan tool it’d be worth checking.

If your dimming mirror/auto wipers don’t work it’d be worth checking the wiring to the sensor on the screen.

Just re-read your post and you mention the caravan dealer you got it from. As your contract will be with them, I’d call them first!
