Are Headlight Units Sealed...?

Hey guys,

Has anyone considered splitting there headlights to paint the chrome inserts. I've got a gloss black grill and badge but really not a fan of how the lights no longer blend in because the chrome is still there where it used to lead on from the chrome grill.

Cheers
Paul

It should be possible.

You could speak to EM Tuning (headlight customisers) about the best method / advice to remove the lenses / split the units in order to paint.

Be easier to buy aftermarket lights that are black like mine, it also upgrades you from H4s to H7s

Just wondering if anyone’s considered or actually succeeded in colour coding the chrome continuation details in the h4 headlights?
I gather the units are sealed but wondered if it was possible?

I read another thread on here about inserting a projector into the H4 units as in that picture. I believe the place that does it is EM Tuning and it looks like it is one of their pictures?

They are sealed but there is a way to open them which involves putting them in an oven. I’m not brave enough to try it as I’d likely end up with a puddle of melted plastic:oops:

Heatgun and a flathead screwdriver. And time.

EMT modified @Alan Walsh’s headlights:
