Anyone removed this in a T6.1?

Has anyone removed this trim inset? If so, how and what’s behind it? I’m sure I’m my T6 there was a little storage cubby there. I’d like to fit my heater controller on it.

Not yet but likewise intrigued as to how to do it...

Sussed it. You need to take the little panel with the passenger air bag light off fist with something thin and flat. Then release the lugs holding the bit in question in and it actually pushes into the cavern behind it! Then retrieve the panel bit though it’s own hole.
