Just wondering if anyone has used this online seller in Germany.

They seem to be having a new online site and giving an offer for a £300 voucher for use when it gets up and running.
see red text on the webpage:

Feels dodgy.

Looks very professional, but just doesn't feel right.

I interpreted that £300 as being if you could successfully find them a partner in the UK. Anyway rearrange this well known saying. plague them the like avoid. Oh, and don't forget the possibility that you get stung by import duties and VAT, something that happened to me and I am still fuming.......

I got stung by import VAT on a recent transaction, (which made the goods uneconomical). despite the seller advising VAT was included.
I was hit with a bill from the international courier one week after the goods were delivered.
When I queried the charge, the courier advised the seller had not paid the VAT !

The courier advised : To avoid hidden fees, When buying from an Aboard, you specifically need to make sure that the goods will be “Delivered Duty Paid” which ensures no hidden fees.

(Fees & VAT are collected and applied based on a sliding scale of cost at point of sale, to make thing more complicated transaction on Ebay under cert limits are automatically included (HMRC imposed this on Ebay) in other instances based on the value, it’s down to the individual seller and their advert, for the buyer to determine if Additional charges may apply.

In reality if you buy goods from abroad and get hit with additional hidden charges what can you do ?

Nothing if you haven’t paid on a Credit card

Buyer beware

There are plenty of well known very well established part suppliers in the UK. Any new entry into an already competitive parts market would have to serious funding in order to have any hope of success. I smell a scam.
