Annoying rattle from rear view mirror

Ever since I picked up my new Gen couple a of months ago get a really annoying rattle from the rear view mirror. I haven't tried taking it apart, wouldn't know how?

Is it something that VW would look at ?

Yes take it back as a warranty issue but don't take too long as they get funny about rattles and squeaks after 6 months and may turn you away

Did you get any joy on this @Tom James as mine has recently developed the same. It stops if I press the mirror housing but still annoying

Unfortunately not, I haven't done anything about it but still rattling.

Here’s what i did I slid some rubbery sheet stuff behind the fitting where it could slide under it just takes up that little bit of looseness stops the rattle also wires for my dash cam I have slightly pulled from the side to stop that additional rattle potential !
