Anither solar panel query

Newbie here. My solar panel has just failed. It’s a flexi panel which after much sweat and tears, I have now managed to remove. From what I’ve read, failures amongst flexi panels isn’t that uncommon, so I’m loathed to replace like for like.
I’m considering a rigid panel which appears to to have a better reputation for longevity. My main query is mounting. My pop top has two small raised ridges that would potentially complicate things.
I quite like these aero brackets from PV Logic, but I’m concerned that the ridges would mean that the bonded area wouldn’t be flat and therefore compromise the strength. The other option would be to use corner brackets, which would be alleviate the problem with the ridges but they don’t look as neat. Anybody got any recommendations?

I’d go with the aero ones using a full bead of black Sikaflex to fill the gaps and smooth the leading edge. Make sure you use the right version for the required depth and with UV resistance and prep/prime the area properly.

Thanks @ginkster . This is the depth I’m talking about. It’s only about 4mm (ish). Obviously it varies as the pop top has a slight curve.

What adhesive would you recommend? EBT25?

I’d use Sikaflex and prep/prime as per the instructions. Have a 3-4mm bead over the ribs and deeper as required in the troughs. Smooth the front edge like you would silicone around the bath. Leave to set for at least 24 hours without moving the roof/van.

I used Sikaflex 552 for my flexible panel but there may be a better option on their website.

Sika 552

I'd advise against that EB25 stuff, see my post about it on this thread..
