Newbie here. My solar panel has just failed. It’s a flexi panel which after much sweat and tears, I have now managed to remove. From what I’ve read, failures amongst flexi panels isn’t that uncommon, so I’m loathed to replace like for like.
I’m considering a rigid panel which appears to to have a better reputation for longevity. My main query is mounting. My pop top has two small raised ridges that would potentially complicate things.
I quite like these aero brackets from PV Logic, but I’m concerned that the ridges would mean that the bonded area wouldn’t be flat and therefore compromise the strength. The other option would be to use corner brackets, which would be alleviate the problem with the ridges but they don’t look as neat. Anybody got any recommendations?
Thanks
