Amber Brake Check light - flashing on and off

Hi all,

I have a T6 Transporter ‘Bolton Camper’ conversion. Really please with it.

However, over the last couple of months the amber brake check light has started to turn on and off for about 30 seconds, then it goes off again. It could stay off for a while or comeback on every now and again.

The strange thing is that when it comes on it does it in a set timed pattern flashing on and off, which makes me think it’s may not be a loose connection??

As a rough rule of thumb a light staying on generally indicates an electrical fault.

A light thqt comes and goes is more likely to indicate a mechanical fault, such as a cracked of faulty magnetic or reluctor ring (whichever version the Transporter uses.)

Id have the codes read see what they say, if anyrhing, and be guided by that in the first instance. If that doesnt reveal anything useful id start looking at the rings and sensors.
