Hi

Perhaps an obvious question but has anyone who installed the Halo 9 with the associated VW adapter kit successfully added rear speakers ?

I’m in the process of running the cable and installing the speakers , and was working on the assumption that it should be straightforward to add the rear speakers adapter that came with the Halo unit BUT the Alpine to VW MiB-QB adapter kit uses that !!!

So it looks like I have to connect the speaker wires as if I was wiring them in to the connector for the original Vw head unit - is that correct ?

Answering my own question :-) looks like its best that i do.. and thankfully, there are a lot of posts on here about that..

As long as you get the negative and positive the right way around you will be fine. Get it wrong and they don’t make bass.
Work from the speakers back, cables that came with the speakers should have the correct terminals on. Mark with tape on radio end left and right. And don’t rush it’s not a race.

Today’s job in my caddy to get these wired up. Along with 4 channel amp and underseat subwoofer.
