I need some advice about the best way to wire in 2 usb ports either side on the b pillars.

Ordered the example attached below.

I want them to be only available when the igition is live.

Is it best to use a fuse tap? If so what gauage of wire and what size fuse should I tap into?

Thanks....

Current draw is low so wouldn’t need anything too large, I used 1.5mm thin wall cable fed from a 15 A fuse for the sockets in my van, I don’t generally use anything smaller than 1.5 so I always the option of reutilising down the road for a different purpose like switching to a cig socket etc

Thanks, so in theory the hardest bit is running cables and drilling holes.

Its not too difficult.

I managed to do all my routing only having the centre roof panel down, the passenger side dash end panel and the power outlet cubby.

I was able to push my plastic ' fishing ' thingy over the cabin head liner and straight down the passenger A pillar trim, which appeared just below the cup holder. Then a fished the 12v cable across to the hole where the 12v power outlet and cubby are.
Connected to the live off the back of the power outlet, and finally fished it down the B pillar and out.
