Accelerator Pedal

Sorry if this is a really stupid observation but I never noticed this when test driving a DSG van. My accelerator peddle moves downwards smoothly then has a sort of resistance point that I have to push quite hard to get past. Almost like a kick down. Does everyone have this?

Yes thats normal and is a so called kick down.

Yes normal.

Kick down... same as old skool autos. It drops gear and almost red lines the revs..... for over taking basically or crazy man driving.
