6.1 Highline...should the buttons light up??

Evening folks.
Should the interior lights buttons illuminate?? The ones by the rear view mirror.

I know...how did VW miss this? You can't even make out the position of the buttons its so dark. I'm sure they illuminated in my T6?

Yeah, I’m sure they did, too. I got my 6.1 in March, so only really noticed it when winter set in. It’s a bit like brail, up there, with the rear lights as well

The rear light idea is great, I added a separate switch in my 6 just for that. Now its there I cant bloody find it.

I’ve developed this technique:- I open the door, so the lights come on, the new led interior lights are so bright, that I use the back of my hand, to reflect the light back, to see which button to press. Obviously, not whilst driving!!!

Just mash the shit out of the panel until all the wrong buttons are pressed! I've done that twice now!
