4motion diff-lock activation

So I bought a T5.1 T30 LWB 4motion last summer with the diff lock option. It has the button and when you press the button I can hear a click of a relay so I assume its ON but cant see any other indicator lights to say otherwise. Could someone confirm if I should get some kind of feedback? Or if this sounds like a common fault that I need to checkup on?

Yellow light on dash (speedo or rpm) WHEN it is actually latched. Quite often need to drive a bit turning wheel left/right before it gets latched. The same also for unlocking - might stay "pinched".

A little tug on the handbrake helps it release...

I am sure you know, but just in case, never test it on tarmac, loose surfaces/grass only.

Mrs Loz once drove my Discovery home with the difflock engaged.....
got a phone call 2miles from home saying it wont go, it’s really sluggish........
