300watt power inverter

I’ve picked up the 300watt power inverter below to run off the leisure battery when we don’t have an electric hook up. The idea is for it to power a small projector. Has anyone used these before? Any risks to damaging the leisure battery / circuit? Thanks for any advice.

cheap Chinese MSW cloan inverter.

be warned - it wont have a fuse in that plug.

so don't pull more that 80W from it or it will (if pklugged into a T6 12v socket)

A - possibly melt the plug/socket
B- blow the socket fuse.

to go from the 100-300w range it needs to be clipped dirtect to a battery.

if you want a decent one. . . I've got a couple of these and they are great . . plus PURE sine wave.

again for 100W plus it needs to be clipped to the battery.

.

Thanks, that’s really helpful. Think I’ll send this straight back. Sorry to seem ignorant, how would you clip it straight to the battery? Would you snip off the 12v connector and then bare wire with some terminal clips/ rings? Add an inline fuse?

what He said.

you can also get high power 12v unfused socket to croc clamps. . . that what i used to do.

but then swapped that out for fused SB50 Anderson connectors.

I’m not a fan of 12v plugs for prolonged current draw, it’s ok for occasional/short term use but they can get hot, if you are running something like that a pulling a reasonable current I would get a decent direct connection via a suitable fuse
