So, the dreaded start of retrofitting cruise/electric windows and air con to my 2005 T5..
Few questions if anyone knows the answers please, a lot of it blows my mind and just simply need a help in hand
Will a T5 cruise control loom work with a T5.1 2012 stalk? Been gifted one but rather know before hand instead of wasting the time fitting it all etc to then not be able to get it coded.
Electric windows don't seem to bad of a job to do, I've got the full kit from another van. Anything I need to be wary of?
Spending a fair bit of time and work on the old girl and desperately needing air con..
Currently have the dash out, front end off etc. I've fitted compressor (but not wired in) and condenser. Air con lines coming shortly too.
However the big question is, can I replace the manual heater matrix box with a newer box so that I can run electric control unit instead of the nasty manual cables and dials? How much harder or big of a job is it? I'm clueless with electrics and I was told it's not possible because of the canbus but then I've seen people who have managed to do it. One of the jobs you wished you never started but i'd like to think it'll be worth it.
Whilst I'm here too, does anyone know someone who can transfer data/code the old speedo cluster I have for T5.1 newer one? Been told it's doable i'm just struggling to find any contacts for any of this info!
