20” Tyre Pressure

Had my T28 all seasons van since new. Now on 21,000 miles and ran 36psi since new all round on 275/40/20 Leighton alloys. Not a huge fan of the tyres “RX motion road x” (will be replaced with Michelins) however still got 5mm all round left and even wear. I don’t chuck the van about or really much above 70mph at all. Reading through the forum I’m really happy with mileage vs wear.

for what its worth, I'm nearly 6 years in on my T6 T32 swb combi on 20's and Bilstien B14's from new. I've done 86k miles across a mixture of school run, A road & motorway and so far only halfway through my 3rd set of Vredestein Quatrac Pro's [255/40/20 F & 275/40/20 R]. Currently 4mm tread left all around and I run them at 40psi standard and 46psi fully loaded/towing. I reckon my average is 36K+ per set and I love 'em :)

Cracking tyres those!

My (new to me) T6.1 has 275/35 ZR20 Kumho on. On my way from the dealership (where they arranged a service / MOT) the tyre warning came on. I checked the pressures and the are 45 psi in the front and 35 in the back. Can this be right?

Try 40 psi front and rear.

Most people seem to be running 38-40 psi.

Really interesting read on here regarding pressures vs wear and everything else around it. I’m just about to fit some 20” Inovit Speed 8.5J fronts and 10J rears with Goodyear eagle F1 Assymetric 6, 245/45/20 fronts and 275/40/20 rears… what would you recommend as the best pressures front and rear? I was thinking maybe 40 all round but unsure. It’s a T32 Kombi and I don’t carry much weight at all. Thanks in advance! 👍🏼

Thanks for all the advice. I’ve gone for 40 all round, and the van seems happy with that. Fast corners is no longer in my vocabulary! The front tyres look a bit flat, but I’ve noticed that on cattle grids, the front axle is much quieter than the rear.
